staya does not have accounts, does not ask for your name, and does not send what you do in the app to any server. Everything you tap, choose or reset stays on your phone. The only information that ever leaves your device is your email address, and only if you choose to give it.
The following is stored locally on your phone and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
We cannot see any of it. If you delete the app, it is gone. You can also erase it at any time from You › Delete my data.
The app offers, once and optionally, to send you six letters across the year. If you enter your email address, it is sent to Klaviyo, our email provider, and stored there so we can send those letters. Nothing else is sent with it — not your answers, not your patterns, not your usage.
staya works exactly the same if you skip it. You can remove your address at any time from You › Stop the letters, or by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any letter.
Klaviyo acts as our processor. Their privacy policy is at klaviyo.com/legal/privacy.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card details, your billing address, or your store account. We receive only the confirmation that a subscription is active. To manage or cancel it, use the subscription settings in your App Store or Google Play account.
What you record in staya may reveal something about your health. That is exactly why it never leaves your phone. staya is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
Because we hold no personal data other than an email address you chose to give us, exercising your rights is simple. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your email address at any time by writing to hello@hellostaya.com. We respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or UK, the lawful basis for sending you the letters is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
staya is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
